About the Artist

    Bobby Thorpe was born in San Diego, California and studied at both the Kansas City Art Institute, and the University of Missouri Kansas City.  Since 2004, his work has been exhibited throughout the United States.  His passion for learning to work with a multitude of alternative processes through painting has developed a unique expression particularly inherent in each of his pieces.

      Bobby's primary focus has been the figure, with its simplicities yet mysterious complexities.  His eye for composition, vision of color, and attraction to form and design enable him to create extraordinary images of ordinary or common subjects.
